Our Beginners Courses

|
Whether you have shot before or are completely new to the sport, one of
the best ways to get yourself started in Archery is to go on one of our
beginners courses.
These
courses are run over two Saturdays by the club coach and will result in
the candidate being offered membership to the club. If they wish to join
another club the course and certificate issued will show the club that
they have completed a recognised GNAS Course that has been run by a
qualified GNAS Coach.
We welcome all ages from 10 years up. Children under
the age of 16 must have a 'Designated Responsible Adult' (DRA) present
for the whole of the session. Older juniors may shoot unaccompanied
with the Child Officer's prior agreement and ONLY if their
parents/guardians have given written permission beforehand. A
Designated Responsible Adult (DRA) is a parent, legal guardian or
other adult approved (in writing) by a parent or legal guardian to
look after the interests of a minor or vulnerable adult in accordance
with the Child Protection Act.
All equipment is supplied by the club so please do not buy anything for yourself until you have completed the course. |

Directions from Newport/Cardiff(Westbound)
From the A48 heading towards Chepstow, before you reach Caerwent look out for The Northgate Inn on your RIGHT hand side. Take the next LEFT into Dinham Road. Take the SECOND RIGHT into Lawrence Crescent.
On your RIGHT you'll see a small brick building with a car park just to
the left of it. Take the SECOND RIGHT into the car park. Warning! The
road surface is a bit rough!
Directions from Chepstow/London (Eastbound)
From the A48 heading towards Newport/Cardiff, just after passing through Crick
you'll pass a turning for Dewstow on your left. Carry straight on.
Immediately after the 30mph sign you'll see a set of traffic lights and a
slip road to the right. Take the next RIGHT into Dinham Road. Take the SECOND RIGHT into Lawrence Crescent.
On your RIGHT you'll see a small brick building with a car park just to
the left of it. Take the SECOND RIGHT into the car park. Warning! The
road surface is a bit rough! |
